UPDATE: Twin Cities News Flash and ACC-Sec Throwdown Schedule

One day after his latest lopsided loss -- a 90-68 defeat by Clemson on Wednesday in Williams Arena -- Monson met with athletics director Joel Maturi and negotiated a $1.1 million buyout of his contract.

Apparently this was negotiated prior to Wednesday's game. The loss to Clemson according to ESPN reports was inconsequential.
