Clemson's RPI ranking, the influential meter of a teams relative success versus other schools and various other measurements, jumped 12 places after upsetting VT on Sunday.
Sadly, though, the win was classified as an upset. VT and Clemson both had identical records, yet they arrived via different paths.
As such, Clemson is poised to possibly make it into the NCAA tourney, while VT is just waiting to see what seed they are given. The Tigers have to beat FSU in Florida and assuming they win, play a competitive game against UNC to have a shot at the NCAA bracket.
I think they can make it; they just have to believe they can as well.
