Clemson Basketball Exhibition Tonight
Should you find yourself in or around Clemson tonight, the Tigers open competition with an exhibition against Peach Belt Athletic Conference members USC-Aiken tonight at 7:30. Admission is FREE.
The USC-Aiken Pacers are the Sporting News #1 ranked Div-II team in the country. They are lead by senior pre-season PBAC all conference and Div-II all-american, Chris Commons, who lead the Pacers to a 27-4 record last year while leading his team in scoring with 21.8 ppg. Commons, like many of the Pacer players, is a transfer. The Pacers have 8/15 transfers on their team, even one from Auburn.
And though tonight's game is the Clemson Basketball's only public, pre-season event, the Pacers aren't looking to lose. Infact, the Tigers had a common opponent, Furman, last year. The Pacers, like the Tigers, beat the Paladins. While the Tigers won 91-46, Pacers, though in exhibition, defeated Furman 76-64. Now that USC-Aiken is getting to play one of the two big state schools, they will probably be ready.
However, now they have to play Trevor Booker, who though he looks like he's yawning above, is listed at the #7 most intimidating player in America by someone at Rivals.com.
If you are looking to follow tonight's game, the Gametracker should be up tonight and you should be able to listen on WCCP.
Exhibit Strong!
Go Tigers!
