Clemson Basketball Defeats Samford

Here is the non-sequitur-ial (?) lead to the story of yesterday's game against Samford in the Greenville news:

CLEMSON -- Clemson's performance Saturday afternoon was like music to coach Oliver Purnell's ears.

For Samford coach Jimmy Tillette, not so much.

"I'm a big opera fan," Tillette said moments after the Tigers dismantled his team 78-45. "But that was the equivalent of watching the entire Ring cycle ó without music."

This leads into a recap of the game.

Next, the Tigers play Alabama in Tuscaloosa. It should be a good game, as Alabama is on a six game win streak. This will be the last OOC game before the Tigers begin ACC play against UNC.

The Tigers should win, but hopefully, they aren't looking ahead to the Tarheels.
