Meet Clemson Basketball's Newest Correspondent

This is Clemson Basketball's newest correspondent.

So, my relatives tried to convince me to name her Olivia Purnellope.

I didn't listen.

Instead, I hired her as my new sidekick and basketball sideline reporter.

Since being born on August 4th, she has gathered the above schwag from OP, a more-than-life-size poster of CJ Spiller, and acquired the following information:

(I know some of it is a little old, but she is still new.)

Trevor Booker has been named as a preseason candidate for the Wooden Award. This honor is reserved for the top 50 players. You can follow Booker's progress throughout the season and see the entire list at Woodenaward.com. As you can see, the Greenville News was all over this:

The Greenville News proves why it is the premiere Clemson Tigers news outlet.

The Tigers hired Preston Greene as their new strength coach after the departure of Jon Sanderson, who left to become the strength coach at Michigan- read about his new position over at UMHoops.com. Of Greene, OP had this to say, ""We feel that we've added one of the best and most qualified strength & conditioning coaches in the country. The fact that he is a homegrown, Clemson guy makes it all the more special."

The 2009-2010 schedule is becoming more clear as ESPN announced they would be at Littlejohn for a basketball College Gameday on Jan 23, 2010 for the game against Duke.
Of course, we all remember what happened last year when Duke came to Littlejohn: 74-47.

Booker dunks on Zoubek and Singler and the hopes and dreams of Coach K.

Lastly, for now, TO has apparently found a home in Naples on OM Napoli. TO also denies any rift between himself and the players and OP. And while Clemson fans wish him all the best, it is time to move on.

A girl went back to Napoli
Because she missed the scenery
The native dances and the charming songs
But wait a minute, something's wrong

Hey, mambo! Mambo italiano!
Hey, mambo! Mambo italiano!

Its always a great day when you can inject it with a little cool from Dean Martin of original Rat Pack - not of the Coach K variety.

Go Tigers!
