Tigers roll over Winthrop 102-66

The OP Stat of the Game: 47 bench points

If Clemson were UNC at home last night, the crown would have been chanting "We want biscuits!"

Instead, its tickets for tacos as the Tigers trounced the Eagles. I can't even do the math to calculate 102-66 win margin.

Last night the Tigers hang a hundred on Winthrop, roll to the ATL, and now is en route to the left coast for the 76 Classic in Anaheim.

Per the game, Andre Young, again, turned in a nice performance off the bench. David Potter also brought his offense, but had some foul trouble, as he finished the game with four. Noel Johnson continues to improve on defense and will hopefully match his offense prowess as the season progress.

And, it progresses at a much more rapid pace now. Of the teams in Anaheim, 6 of the 8 teams participated in the NCAA tournament, 4 of the 8 teams are ranked, and the all of the coaches are well-respected in coaching circles.

The field, representing eight conferences, and eight coaches:

ACC: #19 Clemson- Oliver Purnell, I wish we would play WVU, so we could see an orange suit on one side line and a gold one on the other.

Big 12: Texas A&M- Mark Turgeon, ex-Wichita St. Shocker, Billy Gillespie upgrade.

Big East: #8 West Virginia- Bob Huggins, at his alma mater, looking for another gold suit.

Big Ten: #16 Minnesota- Tubby Smith, ex-UK coach, national championship caliber coach.

Big West: Long Beach State- Dan Monson, ex-Minn, coach, replaced by Tubby Smith.

Horizon: #10 Butler, Brad Stevens third-year coach, building a solid program, a hot commodity.

PAC 10: UCLA- Ben Howland, three final four appearances, Pac-10 champion, lover and fighter.

WCC: Portland- Eric Reveno, 2008 WCC coach of the year, for markedly improving Portland.

The Tigers take on Texas A&M on Turkey Day at 4:30 pm. It's going to be on ESPN2, and you will have had enough trytofan and alcohol that all you will want to do is sit in front of the TV and enjoy the game.

It is go time!

Go Tigers!

This will definitely show how good of a team Clemson is. That is a tough little tourney. I know UNC is the fav, but I just like your team in the ACC.
