Sidney Lowe will be bringing his oversized jacket to Tigertown tonight. I expect he will be carrying many of the NCSU players inside the jacket and under the lapels.
In tonight's matchup, the Tigers will try to avoid playing three consecutive ACC-OT games. In order to do so, the Tigers have to have stronger guard play than the Wolfpackers and have to use the entire rotation to keep the pressure on the ball.
The Tigers have enough big men, and one man-beast, to take care of the paint, but tonight's game could hinge on our ability to break down their ball movement, press, and move the ball inside, or inside-out.
Both teams are searching for confidence. State is coming off a huge, Sidney-Lowe-should-be-fired type of loss to UNC in CH.
NC State is not a bad team. They are 11-4; they have an early win over a now-ranked opponent. They have a freshman All-American player, JJ Hickson, who is averaging 18.5ppg, 8.3 rpg, and2.5bpg.
But tonight.
Tonight.
And I know I say this all the time- but, tonight's game is the most important game of the season.
ACC:2-1, or ACC:1-2?
Which one reflects a team on a mission and which reflects a team that is part of someone else's mission?
Tonight's game is on tv, check listings- probably Fox Sports Network South, or whatever they call it these days.
